Following a fun night of firework watching in Brockwell Park, my friend Sarah and I returned the morning after, but this time to the lovely Lido Cafe for eggs and coffee...
Peter Forsyth is a designer and illustrator who has lived in Brixton for the last 20 years. The style of these images, celebrating the Lido and Brockwell Park, are a clear nod to the commercial travel posters of the 1930s. Even though the Lido was empty of water and receiving a winter spruce, the view was still beautiful in the early morning sunshine, and you could imagine swimmers from a bygone age enjoying the art deco surroundings...
