Following a fun night of firework watching in Brockwell Park, my friend Sarah and I returned the morning after, but this time to the lovely Lido Cafe for eggs and coffee...
Peter Forsyth is a designer and illustrator who has lived in Brixton for the last 20 years. The style of these images, celebrating the Lido and Brockwell Park, are a clear nod to the commercial travel posters of the 1930s. Below are some more examples of his work, depicting items from his neighbourhood in South London.

Even though the Lido was empty of water and receiving a winter spruce, the view was still beautiful in the early morning sunshine, and you could imagine swimmers from a bygone age enjoying the art deco surroundings...
